Dark Horse Comics

Dark Horse Comics was founded in 1986 by Mike Richardson. The bulk of its titles are licensed properties, including comic book versions of Star Wars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alien, and Conan the Barbarian, but Dark Horse has also published a number of popular original titles as well, including Sin City, 300, Hellboy, The Mask, and Barb Wire. Dark Horse also has a large stable of manga titles.

Dark Horse Entertainment, the film arm of Dark Horse Comics, has produced a number of movies based on the company's own comic books, including the aforementioned Hellboy and The Mask among others.
