Plot Summary
New York contains nine sections, with each section containing 1-, 2-, or 3-page vignettes (many of which are wordless) that illustrate some aspect of city life. Because Eisner tended to create his stories through the lens of his childhood and early adulthood, most of the stories take place in the early twentieth century.
