W. W. Norton & Company was established in 1923 and is the largest employee-owned publisher in the United States, best known in colleges everywhere for its Norton Anthologies and Norton Critical Editions series.
Although W. W. Norton specializes in college-level texts, it also publishes a number of more eclectic titles. Aside from Vance and Burr's Kings in Disguise, the only graphic novels W. W. Norton currently publishes are reprints of Will Eisner's back catalog. W. W. Norton also acts as distributor for comic book publisher Fantagraphics Books.
