Plot Summary
Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron opens with the lead character, Clay, watching a strange art film and becoming entranced by the lead actress. He decides to find out more about the woman, and this decision leads him on a very strange--and often disturbing--series of misadventures. The plot is not as important and the weird collection of people Clay meets as he quickly loses control of the situation he's put himself in. Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron is the closest thing you will find to a David Lynch movie in comic book form.

My Own 2 Cents
Personally, this is my favorite book by Daniel Clowes, but I readily acknowledge it's not for everyone.
