Plot Summary
This is the second volume of Jaime Hernandez's "Locas" stories from Love and Rockets (vol. 1). Since I don't own this volume myself (I have the Locas: The Maggie and Hopey Stories book [not to mention the original comic books], which collects these first three volumes), please allow the person who wrote the blurb on the back of the book to tell you what happens in this volume:

"The Girl from H.O.P.P.E.R.S. starts with a quartet of action-packed yarns starring Maggie's friend and idol, the aging but still glamorous wrestling queen Rena Titañon. Then it's back to Maggie and her trials and tribulations--including the haunting 'Vida Loca: The Death of Speedy.' This volume also introduces the long-suffering Ray, an on-again, off-again rival to Hopey for Maggie's affections. And the volume concludes with one of the most acclaimed stories in Love and Rockets history, 'Flies on the Ceiling,' in which Izzy goes to Mexico and meets the devil."

My Own 2 Cents
As I mention in my 2 cents on Locas: The Maggie and Hopey Stories, this volume and the ones that precede and follow it are recommended over the Locas collection because the Locas collection is missing a few of the stories that are contained in these three volumes. So Maggie the Mechanic is the best place to start if you want to read Jaime's half of the Love and Rockets phenomenon.
