Neil Gaiman is one of comicdom's few successful Renaissance men, having written bestselling (and award-winning) fantasy novels (American Gods), movie scripts (Beowulf), and TV scripts (Babylon 5) in addition to his numerous comic book projects.
Although The Sandman was not Gaiman's first work in comics, it is the one for which he is most well-known. Though born in England, Gaiman recently moved to Minneapolis with his wife, two daughters, and son.
