Founded in 1920 by Maurice Robinson in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Scholastic Publishing Company was originally a publisher of youth magazines. Its various imprints include Scholastic Press, Arthur A. Levine Books, Cartwheel Books, and Graphix, among others.
