Steve Niles is an American comic book writer who got his start self-publishing through his own company, Arcane Comix, and later working for Eclipse Comics and Todd McFarlane Productions. The book 30 Days of Night, first published in 2002, is the one that brought Niles widespread attention, and since then he has continued working on several horror-related books as well as starting to work with DC Comics on titles such as Gotham County Line and Simon Dark.
