Alan Davis is a British artist who got his big break working with Alan Moore on Marvel UK's Captain Britain in the 1980s. In 1985 he began working for DC Comics on titles such as Batman and the Outsiders and Detective Comics. In 1987 he moved to Marvel Comics and worked with Uncanny X-Men scribe Chris Claremont on Excalibur, which featured Captain Britain. Since then, he has worked steadily for both Marvel and DC.
