Adrian Tomine (pronounced "Toh-MEE-nuh") began creating his Optic Nerve minicomics while attending Berkeley in the early '90s. Canadian publisher Drawn and Quarterly began publishing Optic Nerve in 1995, and Tomine has recently received more mainstream exposure with his cover and interior illustrations for the New Yorker magazine.
